Ever wonder what the heck is going on in the mind of a graphic designer? Thanks to Anneke Short, a designer from London, we now know! Anneke took a few design-related quotes and turned them into stunning, minimalist posters (see below). She wrote, “Personally, I would say that the biggest preconceived idea is that a project will take however long it takes to sketch it up, whereas nine times out of ten, it is the concept and not the implementation that takes time.” Read more..

For those of you who aren’t yet aware of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), we’ll give you a quick overview. In short, the legislation was proposed to support Hollywood in protecting their intellectual property rights (which we wholeheartedly agree with), but would also allow the government to shut down entire websites left and right for allowing their users to share digital content. Website like Wikipedia, Facebook and Reddit would all likely be shutdown in a matter of days. Seems a little ridiculous, right? It is. In fact, Wikipedia and Reddit are both so disgusted in the legislation that they are going to “blackout” their websites Wednesday in order to send a message to the White House and Congress, and in an effort to gain support from the internet community. Feel free to read more and keep up with SOPA news over at Tech Crunch.
We also wanted to publish a current list of SOPA supporters so that you too can join in the fight against this absurd legislation. Feel free to boycott the following SOPA supporters:
