“Scrappin’ for a Cause” Campaign

In cooperation with K/E Electric Supply, Coldfire Promotions launched a massive, 2-month effort to raise $20,000+ for the Michigan Breast Cancer Coalition in August, 2011.
The object of the campaign was to get the customers, vendors, and employees of K/E Electric all involved. Donations were not only accepted via cash or check, but, as the name implies, the collection of scrap wire was the biggest part of the donation proceeds. K/E placed a “scrap wire bin” at each of their four locations in the Metro Detroit Area, as well as a life-size standup cutout of their General Manager, John White. Why the standup, you ask? K/E (and John) promised to shave his head if the goal of $20,000 was met. Not only that, but if $25,000 was raised, he promised to shave his 40 year-old mustache, too! You may recall the preview we quickly gave of this project, but it has finally arrived! This was one of our biggest projects, a 28-page promotional calendar for K/E Electric Supply Corp. They decided to stick with our “motivational poster” theme, drumming up numerous ideas to promote their company in a positive, yet enjoyable way. Our biggest current project is the 2011 calendar we are working on for one of our clients (K/E Electric Supply). It’s a 28-page, full-bleed, full-color calendar that utilizes our “motivational poster” theme that I’m sure you’ve seen if you’ve ever been on our Facebook page. While we can only show the front cover for now, we’ll post more once our client has had the chance to hand them out to all of their customers and employees (check back in early December-ish!). We wouldn’t want to spoil it for everyone!
What makes this project special to us is that we created a similar calendar for them a few years ago (before we were actually Coldfire Promotions), but it was strictly for their employees only. We’ve come a loooong way since then and this one is going to be quite amazing!
